Higher Education

Waltham Forest College has a range of access and higher level courses to suit your needs. All of our courses will help you to progress and give you opportunities for better jobs and more pay.

Many people choose not to go to university because they don't feel at ease with studying, perhaps because they haven't studied for many years; we specialise in helping and supporting people who need study skills. Some people have family commitments and so cannot travel or attend the classes universities offer; we specialise in trying to provide a timetable to suit your needs.

Our teaching groups are often smaller than universities so we are able to give you more individual attention if you should need it and, more importantly, we can provide local and relevant information. Our business is teaching and your learning, and we are developing a range of the new foundation degrees that link work based learning and academic studies, bringing the two together is like a jigsaw that sets a foundation for the future.

When you have completed your Foundation degree or Higher National Diploma you are in a good position to progress to a university to complete an Honours degree programme. We also provide higher level ( including postgraduate) professional qualifications which can be studied part-time.
