Welcome from the principal
Why do students go to college: to learn, or to have fun? Here at Waltham Forest College we do our best to ensure that you do both.
We recognise that students achieve better when they enjoy what they are learning. That is why we consider it so important that the course they choose is the right one for each individual.
Right from the start, one of our trained advisors will discuss with you what your interests are and where you want to go in life. They will find out if you are the hands-on, practical type of learner, or if you prefer to research your subject in depth.
We are passionate about preparing our learners for the real world of work and we have been awarded the Investors in Careers quality kitemark. We are proud that we are the first college in North and East London and only the second in the capital to win this.
Your learning experience will be made more enjoyable by the huge choice of extra leisure and recreational activities on offer. Whether you are interested in sport, music, dance, drama or volunteering there is an activity here for you.
How would you define a successful person: someone with a big house, big car, or someone who has won loads of prizes? These are just a few of the many elements that people often identify and then work towards in their quest for success.
One of the best definitions I have heard is that a successful person is someone who wakes up in the morning and looks forward to going to work.
We are determined to ensure that all our students, when they wake up in the morning, look forward to coming to College. We can then ensure you receive the skills, knowledge and support you need to secure a successful future.
