Hairdressing Apprenticeship Level 2

Who Is The Course For

This course is suitable for anyone leaving school wanting to train for a career in hairdressing.

Entry Requirements

  • Employment in a salon i.e. your employer must pay you a minimum of £95.00 per week.

  • You will be required to attend college once a week to gain underpinning knowledge, practical & oral assessments and functional skills.

  • Interview and assessment in English & Maths

What You Will Study

  • Health and safety
  • Client care
  • Shampooing & conditioning
  • Colouring
  • Cutting & blow drying
  • Setting & dressing
  • Relaxing (optional)

 How You Will Be Assessed

  • Practical, oral and written assessments are carried out continuously throughout the course in order to achieve the qualifications. 

Where It Can Take You

  • You can progress onto NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing. 

Course Details

  • The course is part time for 18 months, starting on July 2nd 2012 until June 24th 2013.
    One day per week..
