The Counselling and Welfare team provides information and advice on a range of personal and social issues that can impact and impair your

ability to study.  Their work is diverse and covers a broad range of areas such as; financial support and welfare benefits. Where

appropriate (with your permission) they will liaise on your behalf with external agencies or refer you on to relevant service provision. 

If you wish to see the Welfare Officer, come into Student Services and book an appointment.

Finding the right course or career can be challenging. Our Careers Team can help you choose the right course and select suitable

occupational choices.  They can also help to develop job seeking skills or progression onto other learning programmes in further and

higher education and training.

Our Careers Consultants can help you to

·         Find a suitable course or career
·         Find a part time job 
·         Apply to university
·         Improve your CV

You can also make an appointment with a National Careers Service Adviser (based in College) who will be able to give you non-biased advice to help you to get to where you want to go. They can also help you find work in the short term.

The Student Finance team can provide financial support towards education-related costs. This includes help with course fees, travel, trips, uniform/kits and childcare costs.

If you would like to speak to the team, visit us in Room 224.
