A Level Computer Science enables learners to develop:

  • An understanding of and ability to apply the fundamental principles and concepts of computer science including abstraction, decomposition, logic, algorithms and data representation.

    • 5 GCSEs at Grade 6 and above including maths and English
    • Assessment and interview

    • Analysis of the problem
    • Design of the solution

  • How will I be assessed?

    You will be assessed via:

    • Paper 1 (40%): Computer Systems
    • Paper 2 (40%): Algorithms and programming
    • Programming project (20%)
