This course is designed for people that can carry out and be competent with a variety of tasks around the work place.
The Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) is a framework for authorising qualifications in your place of work. The NVQ is designed with a wide range of units for you to select from which means that you are provided with greater opportunity to achieve the qualification and skills that you and your industry require. The qualification is made up with accumulating credits from selected units that are combined together following the 'rules of combination'.
This qualification is competence based. This means that the assessment is linked to your ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with your work. There is a large range of assessment methods including evidence collection, samples of work and witness reports. Course Length: 6-12 months Course Level: Levels 2-5 Course start date: These courses are run throughout the year Award: NVQ Certificate (City and Guilds or OCR)
The entry requirements for this course are:
- You will be required to be in employment, or be involved in voluntary work, in a relevant field to the NVQ that you wish to take
- You will also be expected to have a good level of English in order to succeed at the course
This course consists of the following modules:
- An NVQ assessment programme and therefore we will be assessing your competence at dealing with a variety of supervisory tasks within your place of work
You will be assessed via:
- Your ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with your work. There is a large range of assessment methods including evidence collection, samples of work and witness reports
This course will lead to progression from the NVQ and either likely to be a higher level NVQ or a specialist course linked to your employment sector to help you improve your employment skills.
