This course is designed for practising, new or aspiring team leaders. This qualification will allow you to make the transition from working in a team to leading a team.
The purpose of the course is to develop competence over the full range of responsibilities of a team leader. This is achieved by a series of specifically designed interactive workshops.
These will be followed by tutorial support that will help you to achieve selected ILM units. We can work with you to determine the ILM units that best fit your individual and organisational requirements.
This is delivered over 6 days. The Level 2 Certificate in Leadership and Team Skills course is also available and is a longer course. The ILM qualification level indicates the how many units it contains, not its difficulty. We can work with you to identify the ILM units that best fit your individual and organisational requirements.

- Briefing your team/providing feedback

- Effective team working
- Developing your team
The above topics are examples but the programme can be customised towards your own (or your workplace) needs. Personal development and generic leadership skills are integral parts of the programme.
You will be assessed via:
- Short written test
- One assignment
This course will lead to Level 3 certificate in Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 3 Certificate.
