This 12 week course is designed for 19+ adults.
Our Certificate in Construction Skills Level 1 course is designed to give you all the necessary skills to be a multi-skilled operative within the Construction Industry.
Having a Construction Skills qualification is key for anyone wishing to take employment as a handyman, or to work in a setting that requires a range of trades rather than a specific path.
The courses runs for 2 evenings per week over a 12 week period.
This course will lead to you choosing a pathway in:
- Diploma in Electrical
- Diploma in Plumbing
- Diploma in Carpentry
- Diploma in Bricklaying
The entry requirements for this course are:
- Level 1 in English and maths or a GCSE grade 3 and above in English and maths
This course consists of the following:
- A taster in the trades: carpentry, electrical, bricklaying and plumbing
- Managing money skills
You will be assessed by:
- Task based assessment
- Question paper
- Observations
