This short programme will provide you with an introduction to counselling and mental health awareness.

This course provides a basic introduction to CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Theory), explores the use of counselling skills and the underlying theory and is designed for people who are considering a career as a counsellor or within the Mental Health Sector.

At the end of the course, you will be able to apply to progress to the full Level 2 qualification course.

  • Sector Overview

New recruits for the Health & Social Care Sector have never been more in demand. The effects of the pandemic continue to be felt, therefore extra funding pledged by the government to boost the social care workforce, on top of the £5.4 billion already set aside in 2021 for adult social care will be welcomed.
