Sector Overview
The Childcare Sector in the UK is all about helping young children learn, grow and get ready for school. It includes nurseries, childminders and early years teachers who support children from as young as 9 months old.
The government is now offering up to 30 hours of free childcare a week to help more families and support parents going back to work. This means more jobs are opening up in nurseries and early years settings. If you enjoy working with children and want to make a difference in their early lives, this could be a great career path for you.
