This course is designed for young people aged 16-18, or up to 24 with an EHCP who have Special Education Needs and/or a Learning Difficulty.
Learners may have special educational needs and disabilities such as behaviour, emotional and social difficulties (BESD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), mild learning difficulties (MLD), moderate learning difficulties (MLD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and opposition defiant disorder (ODD).
Learners will be working at Entry Level 2 to Entry Level 3 and want to improve their employability skills and personal social skills.
This course will lead to:

- Pathways to Vocational Studies
- Bridging the Gap to Mainstream
The entry requirements for this course are:
- Entry 2 or working towards Entry 3
This is a BTEC vocational qualification-based course. Learners will be out on one-day work-placements across Waltham Forest Borough each week. You will be supported by job coaches during your work experience.
The core modules include:
- Maths and English
- Personal, social and health education (PSHE)
- Work experience
You will be assessed via:
- A written task
- Assessment of English and Math
These are completed in a supportive and informal manner.
