Waltham Forest College (WFC), in collaboration with Capital City Colleges Group (CCCG), delivered a pilot Further Education Professional Development Grant project between October 2021 to March 2022, funded by Department for Education (DfE). The Key Theme, ‘Subject Specific Professional Development’, had three main aspects of the theme where the two colleges are working together to share good practice including:
- Evidence based approaches to improve subject knowledge/pedagogy – building on best practice and our specialisms/strengths.
- Application/adaption of generic pedagogic practices to specific subject areas – supporting teachers to gain skills to adapt/apply generic practices to specific areas.
- Collaborative peer-to-peer support and subject networks – establishing a durable peer-to-peer support and subject network model to be cascaded to wider staff.
As one of the outcomes of this successful project, teaching, learning and assessment resource are available in this document.
