The teacher I had was really nice and has made me love IT. I like that the teachers do lots practical demonstrations. Coming to this college has been good for me. I’ve made some good friends and am less shy than I was. It’s also helped me to integrate more into this new country.

One of the best things about this college is the extensive support it offers: from IT assistance with laptops to mental health support, or simply having someone to talk to. The teaching on public services is very disciplined, organised and supportive. I’d say the teaching is very inclusive and done to each student's need. We also had the opportunity to go out on trips. The major one is the Duke of Edinburgh Award which I was a part of this year. It really helps to build teamwork, leadership and self-confidence. The final expedition is one of my favourite memories. I think my greatest achievement was becoming a Student Leader for my public services class. It was a show of my dedication, hard work, patience and leadership skills on the course.

I had a great learning experience with Leyton Orient - the tutors really make sure you understand what you're doing. My most notable achievement was when my team won the Association of Colleges Football League! A bonus was being able to watch Leyton Orient home games for free.

This college gives great work experience opportunities. I had the opportunity to work at Future Film Focus in the College as a photographer, and also as a Runner in an editing company where I helped to transport equipment around a high-paced environment. The clubs the College runs are also really good and diverse, my favourite was the Art Club. The teaching was like a university style experience. We had lots of independent learning which is important in a media course so we can focus on our own designs. Although we did have access to our tutor in class whenever we needed some help which was good.
I decided to choose Waltham Forest College as I have heard that they are diverse College and this motivated me to join the College. I am grateful I joined the College as they have helped me get into my first University of choice, which is Kings University. The best thing about the College for me is the facilities within the College that are available to all the students such as the library, common room, activity center, etc. Also, the plethora of clubs that all of the students can take part in.
I studied Travel and tourism Level 3 at Waltham Forest College and the best thing about the College is the teachers; they were very friendly and helpful, and without them, I wouldn’t be where I am. The teaching and learning experience was amazing as it was very beneficial for my career and extra help was provided outside of the classroom. The staff are very approachable and are always there for any help, even after school hours. Also, the teachers sacrificed their time for students and made the learning experience fun.
I am going to my dream University, Anglia Ruskin University, to study Interior Design and I couldn't have done it without the help of Waltham Forest College. The teaching and learning experience was very supportive, as the staff took their time to help with my goals and informed me on what was needed to achieve my goals. One of the best things about the College is the opportunities that were available to me, such as the Student Union.
The teaching and learning experience at the College was great as the teachers made the learning very fun. The College allowed me to get out of my comfort zone by doing projects like the end-of-year fashion show that I had to prepare the clothes for but also take part in. I would definitely recommend the College as it has given me plenty of opportunities and everyone from the principal, teachers, and support staff were all lovely.

My career goal is to be a Personal Trainer. I've always had an interest in fitness and my course enabled me to learn more about the industry. Studying Sport at Waltham Forest College was amazing. The content was great and the course helped me to understand my career path more. Although it was hard to study during the pandemic and adjusting to online learning, I had loads of support and catch-up sessions. I'm looking forward to starting university to study Sport, Exercise, and Health Sciences and getting closer to my dreams.
