Marketing T Level Level 3
The T Level Technical Qualification in Marketing provides you with the essential knowledge, skills and behaviours required to work in marketing and related roles.
You will study:
- The business environment
- Principles of marketing, sales and procurement
- Sustainability and legislation affecting marketing
- Communication and project management
- Impact of digital technologies and data
- Marketing research, customer behaviour and analysis
- Brand development and campaign planning
You will also undertake a minimum 315 hour industry placement to gain real workplace experience during the two year programme.

Sector Overview
Marketing is one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK economy and plays a vital role across industries by driving business growth, innovation, customer engagement and digital transformation. The sector offers diverse career opportunities, from digital marketing and social media to content creation, analytics, advertising and customer experience management.
This T Level in Marketing has been developed with employers and industry bodies including CIM, CIPR, DMA, PRCA and leading UK marketing agencies to ensure that learners gain the knowledge and skills needed for modern marketing careers.

Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for this course are:
- 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including English and maths
- Relevant interest or experience in business, marketing or media
- Assessment and interview

What will I study?
This course consists of the following modules:
Core content includes:
- The business environment
- Principles of marketing
- Principles of sales
- Principles of procurement
- Legislation and regulation
- Sustainability in business
- Communication in business
- Project management
- Impact of technology on the business environment
You will also study the Occupational Specialism in Marketing, developing skills and knowledge in:
- Applying research methods
- Assessing customers and stakeholders
- Developing propositions and marketing strategies
- Delivering effective marketing communications
- Analysing and evaluating marketing effectiveness
Each Performance Outcome is assessed through a synoptic project.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed via:
- Core Examinations (Paper 1 & Paper 2): written exams (2.5 hours each).
- Employer Set Project: externally assessed, 10 hours, designed to assess student understanding and application of the core content.
- Occupational Specialism Project: externally assessed, 24.5-hour project designed to assess student ability to apply real-world marketing skills in a practical context.

Work Experience
You must complete a minimum of 315 hours (approximately 45 days) of external industry placement which is a mandatory part of the T Level programme.
