Planning your future can be exciting and sometimes a bit confusing. At Waltham Forest College you’re never on your own. Our dedicated Careers Team is here to guide you through your options and help you make choices that fit your goals and interests.

Careers advice

Need help deciding what to do next? Our friendly advisors offer personalised, one-to-one guidance. Whether you’re thinking about university, apprenticeships, or jobs, they’ll listen to you, answer your questions and support you in making a plan that suits you.

CVs, applications and interview practice

Applying for courses, apprenticeships or jobs? We’ll help you create a strong CV and personal statement, fill out applications, and prepare for interviews with practice sessions so you can feel confident and ready.

Each year we have ‘Employer Speedview’ events. These sessions put you in a room with tens of employers who will help you practice your interview technique. It can be a bit daunting at first, but by the end of it, you will have the confidence to go out and interview successfully in your chosen career.

Workshops, talks and employer visits

Students who are exposed to more employers and career types are more likely to succeed. Learning about different careers and industries helps you find out what you enjoy and where your skills fit best. We organise talks, workshops and visits from employers so you can hear directly from people working in a wide range of jobs.
