Waltham Forest College hosted a prestigious Long Service Award Ceremony to recognise the incredible contributions of staff members who have dedicated 10 or more years of service to the College. The event, which celebrated a remarkable 10 to 35 years of service, highlighted the unwavering commitment and invaluable impact these staff members have made to the College, its students and local communities.

The ceremony was a heartfelt occasion, acknowledging the significant role these employees have played in transforming the lives of so many students over the years. Their dedication to excellence has been instrumental in maintaining a high standard of education and support for the College's students and wider community and has been key to the success of Waltham Forest College. Paul Butler, Chair of Corporation opened the ceremony and shared how proud he was of the College staff and their ongoing work and support.

Principal & CEO, Janet Gardner stated: 'As an Anchor Institution and employer, we recognise the value of our hard working and highly committed team and I am delighted that we have been able to demonstrate our gratitude and celebrate with our longest serving members of staff, recognising the significant contribution they have made to our students, our college and our community.  Their contributions have shaped Waltham Forest College into the supportive, inclusive and aspirational instituion it is today.'

A special thank you was given to the event's sponsor, FE Associates, for their ongoing support and partnership with the College. Matt Atkinson, Managing Director of FE Associates was the guest of honour and celebrated with staff during the formal lunch.

Matt commented 'The FE sector would not be able to do so much for so many without the dedication of the people that work in our colleges. The staff at Waltham Forest College have undoubtedly played a key role in its many successes, and FE Associates are delighted to be able to celebrate and support the 2025 Long Service Awards.'

This year's award recipients were recognised for their years of hard work, commitment, and passion for education.
