Construction Skills General Construction Level 1 - March start
The Construction Skills Level 1 Award qualification will allow you to prepare for a career in the Construction Industry. Students will gain an understanding of the industry in general as well as an insight into the various career options.
This course is great to explore multiple construction areas to find our passion and talent.
We have strong links within the industry and work with companies such as Cody Docks, Taylor Wimpy, K&D Joinery, the Standard Hotel and Society of Public Health Engineers.Start date: 20 March 2026
- 12 weeks, 1 day per week: Friday, 9am-5pm
- 75% of the course is practical

Sector Overview
The Construction Industry is generally defined as a key sector of the economy. The industry plays an important role in the economic growth of the country and London has the largest share of the nation's construction work.
Upon completing your course, you will have lots of employment opportunities such as working on a new housing development, skyscraper, shopping centre or urban regeneration project. Our courses will prepare you for these challenges.

This course consists of the following modules:
- Award in Health and Safety & CSCS Test worth combined £300.00
- Sustainability in construction
- Bricklaying
- Carpentry
- Wall tiling
- Painting and decorating
- Plumbing
- Electrical
You will take part in a free CSCS card test as part of this course.
