The BTEC Level 1 Introductory Certificate in Art and Design introduces you to a range of creative processes, materials and techniques. You will explore drawing, surface design, textiles and mixed media, building confidence in your creative skills and developing your own ideas.

The course supports progression into Level 1 creative courses and helps you begin to understand potential career pathways within art and design industries.
You will take part in workshops, group projects and trips to galleries or museums, and have opportunities to exhibit your work. Alongside your creative development, you will build key skills such as teamwork, communication and time management.

    • Evidence of minimum 75%+ attendance at previous place of study.
    • A genuine interest in Creative Arts and a willingness to learn are essential.
