    Working in the law and criminology sector involves navigating complex ethical issues, evolving legislation, and international legal frameworks, particularly in areas like terrorism, extradition, and money laundering

  • Entry Requirements

    The entry requirements for this course are:

    GCSE in English at Grade 4 or Level 2 Functional Skills 

    Assessment and interview

    Anything else relevant or desired

    If required, you will study GCSE or Functional Skills Maths alongside your course so you can progress on to university.

  • What will I study?

    Ready for a career in law, policing, or the criminal justice system? The Access to Higher Education Diploma in Law and Criminology is a one-year course designed for adults (19+) who want to progress to university.

    You’ll explore key topics such as criminal law, the English legal system and criminological theories, while building academic skills like essay writing, research and critical thinking. The course is ideal if you're aiming to study subjects like Law, Criminology or Forensic Science at degree level.

    Equivalent to three A Levels, this nationally recognised qualification is accepted by universities across the UK.

    This course is structured over 3 days a week for 34 weeks.
