Law with Criminology & Psychology Level 2
The Law, Criminology and Psychology Level 2 course will allow you to develop essential skills and knowledge needed to pursue a career in the legal, criminological or psychological fields. Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for this course are:
- 4 GCSEs at Grade 3 or above and English required at a minimum of grade 4
- Assessment and interview
If required, you will study GCSE maths alongside your course so you can progress to the next level, however you will need to have passed English at grade 4 to be applicable.

- Criminal Law and Procedure
- Crime and Deviance
- Media Influences in Criminology
- Behavioural Theories linked to Psychology

You will be assessed via:
- Written tasks
- Practical activity
- Team-building activities
All assessments will offer you an opportunity to pass at one of the following three standards: Pass, Merit and Distinction.
Please note that upon successful completion you will receive a BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Law and Legal Works. The Criminology and Psychology units will be embedded onto you study programme to ensure progression onto the Level 3 courses within the subject area.

Enrichment
As part of the course, you will participate in team-building activities and physical activities, which will help develop key employability skills. Learners who progress to Level 3 will have the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award as part of enrichment.
Additionally, you will engage in podcasts and attend mock trials in both virtual and real court settings, improving vital skills such as speaking, listening and critical thinking.
Throughout the course, you will also benefit from guest lecturers, who are subject specialists, offering valuable insights and mentorship opportunities to help guide and improve your career aspirations within your chosen field.

Work Experience
You must complete 36 hours (1 week) of external work placement which is an essential part of the programme.?Some of the opportunities will include placements with employers such as (charity shops, RPG law firm and metropolitan police ride along).
