    The entry requirements for this course are:


    • 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including maths (Grade 6) and English (Grade 5)

    This course will provide a comprehensive foundation in mechanical engineering principles and practices:

    You will take part in trips and visits such as Future Build and UK Construction Week. You will also have access to key employers that deliver guest lectures to help build your industry knowledge and contacts.

  • Work Experience

    You will be supported to complete a minimum of 9 weeks working with an employer(s) on an industry placement. Some of the opportunities will include placements with employers such as Riney, Wattson Electrical, The Standard Hotel and Barts NHS Health.

    You will be offered opportunities to actively engage with industry related employers and take part in experiential events to improve your personal development.
