This course is designed for 19+ adults who have previous experience in barbering.
Our NVQ Diploma in Barbering Level 2 course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to access the Barbering Industry. Once you have completed your hands-on training, you will be industry ready.
Throughout the course you will be trained and assessed to achieve a VTCT qualification as well as receive training which reflects the reality of the industry and provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the skills and knowledge required to progress your career.
This is a 6 month course. The course is scheduled over 2 days per week and will be a mixture of theory and practical across the year.
This course will lead to:
- Level 3 Barbering course
- Employment – This qualification will give you the skills required to gain employment.
The entry requirements for this course are:
- Previous knowledge in barbering techniques
- Written assessment
- Interview to show interest and commitment
This course consists of the following modules:
- Health and Safety
- Customer service
- Cut & finish hair
- Cut beards
- Create patterns in hair
You will be assessed via:
- Practical assessments
- Theory based assessments
- Online exams
