Sector Overview
The UK's fashion sector is undergoing a major shift as sustainability and ethical practice become central to how garments are designed, produced and consumed. This growing area of the industry brings together creatives working across fashion design, textiles and pattern cutting who are committed to transforming traditional processes into more environmentally responsible and socially conscious approaches.
As brands and employers increasingly prioritise sustainability, there is a strong demand for designers and makers who understand low-impact processes, ethical supply chains, and innovative textile solutions. This course positions students at the forefront of this movement, preparing them to contribute to a more responsible and forward-thinking future within one of the UK's most influential creative industries.
