Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for this course are:
• Grade 2 or above in maths and English is required

What will I study?
This course consists of the following modules:
• Investigating crime scene evidence
• Responding to an incident
• Introduction to the English legal system
• Developing a personal progression plan
• Contributing to your community
• Introduction to criminology
• Introduction to psychology -
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed via:
• Written tasks
• Practical activity
• Team-building activitiesAll assessments will offer you an opportunity to pass at one of the following three standards: Pass, Merit and Distinction.
Please note that upon successful completion you will receive a Pearson BTEC Level 1 Introductory Certificate in Vocational Studies. The criminology and psychology units will be embedded onto your study programme to ensure progression onto the L2 courses within the subject area.
