Sector Overview

Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for this course are:
- 4 GCSEs at Grade 9 to 4 or equivalent including English and maths* and, ideally, Merit in a relevant Level 2 qualification.
- Evidence of minimum 75%+ attendance at previous place of study.
You will be required to attend an informal interview which may include completing an assessment based on your prior qualifications.
*Consideration may be given if only one (English or maths) is achieved, depending on other subject grades. You will be expected to achieve Grade 9-4 in the other subject (English or maths) before completing the T Level. This will form part of the interview and assessment process.

Specialism Content:
- Research
- Content creation using sound and visual effects
- Postproduction editing
Industry Placement:
All students must complete a minimum of 9 weeks working with an employer(s) on an industry placement.

Enrichment
To further enhance your progression you will have opportunities to take part in trips and visits, such as to Samsung KX immersive events.
You will have access to key employers that will deliver guest lectures to build your industry knowledge, including those from Mediorite Film Production and Future Film Focus.

You must complete 9 weeks of an external industry placement which is an essential part of the programme.
