Waltham Forest College has a statutory and moral duty to ensure that it functions with a view to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults undertaking education and training. Safeguarding is linked to the College Prevent Strategy in its aim to keep students safe by preventing them from being drawn into terrorism or other forms of extremism.
All College staff, agency workers and volunteers are required to comply with and implement the College’s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures and the Prevent Strategy, which can be found by clicking here.
If you are concerned about your or someone’s wellbeing, safety or rights then you should contact the BeSafe Team by emailing besafe@waltham.ac.uk.
