Waltham Forest College is committed to offering a careers service that is accessible to everyone. This will ensure that all students are fully equipped with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to operate confidently, effectively and independently in life and work.
The College will offer a programme of high quality, impartial careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) that is stable, structured and delivered by College staff who are equipped with the right skills and experience.
Our policy
The CEIAG policy applies as appropriate to full and part-time learners enrolled on all programmes at Waltham Forest College. This policy sets out the principles of independent and impartial careers guidance provision at the College. Impartial careers guidance is accessible and available to all learners and prospective students.
Information for parents
Waltham Forest College acknowledges the crucial input by parents/carers in relation to helping learners make informed choices about their future careers prospect. Labour Market Information (LMI) is available via the Pathway Tools on our website for parents/carers to access. This shows progression options (under each course listed on our website) to the careers students can do. Applicants are fully informed on the route to their chosen career, can see their future prospects and are better suited to the courses for which they apply.
The College will work closely with parents/carers and inform them of their son's/daughter's progress and future career goals by keeping them informed and publishing the Careers Programme.
Gatsby benchmark
Our Career Advisors will support you throughout the admissions process from the moment you contact the College. The qualified team will offer high quality, impartial careers information, advice and guidance in line with the Gatsby Benchmark.
